My name is Jennifer Peludat and I am the Breast Cancer Navigator at Halifax Health Center for Oncology. I have been in my career for 30 years. My passion is Women’s Health. I assist women with breast cancer on their journey from diagnosis to survivorship. My services are provided complementary by Halifax Health. I believe no one should ever face this alone!

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am a daughter, sister, wife and mother. I have been married for 29 years to Chuck . I have 2 amazing children, Emily and Josh. We love to boat, have family dinner and game night as much as possible. They are my life and my whole heart!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
What do I love most about what I do? EVERYTHING!!!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love Flap Jacks for breakfast. It’s so yummy. We love family owned restaurants. We like to try new places when we can.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
My family moved here when I was in elementary school. I am basically a native.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
That’s a hard question. I have met many interesting people in my profession but I would have to say “my patients” are so very interesting and diverse. I learn something from each of them.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Alaska, we are planning a trip for our 30th Anniversary.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Pretty Woman. I love a good romantic comedy!

Q: What advice would you give to people?
NEVER let anyone dull your Sparkle!!

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to travel to Europe.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Genesis, I am an 80’s girl.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Aunt Catfish, Markos Heritage Inn and Nascar

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Paula Deen. I love her story and her recipes! I love to bake so I would pick her brain for tips and tricks. I would take her to Third Wave Cafe in NSB. They have amazing food.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love the weather. I enjoy being on the water.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Doing this exact thing. I tell my husband all the time, if we win the lottery I would still do what I love!

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I actually REALLY love the color pink! LOL

Coast Rica

Favorite month = PINKtober / Favorite holiday = Thanksgiving / BEST day on the calendar = Mother’s Day!!

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
The sound of my children belly laughing. I have loved that since the day they were born!

My patients.

Clean laundry and vanilla
