Lori McMullin, APR, has a passion for convening, connecting and communicating. She thrives when she’s plugged in and involved with helping ensure her community is an amazing place to live, work, play and learn. McMullin also values time with friends and family and self care, realizing there is a necessary life balance.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Lori McMullin and her husband, Greg, reside in Ormond Beach with their beloved Pomeranian Shaka.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
Lori McMullin, APR is the Marketing & Business Development Consultant for the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is well known in the Daytona Chamber as both an active past member in the organization and through her previous service as Chair of the Leadership Daytona Alumni Council. Accredited in Public Relations McMullin’s experience lends to the Daytona Regional Chamber’s forward momentum in redesigning key areas designed specifically to support the mission of organization through new and successful membership offerings. Previous work with area non-profits provides her with the distinct advantage of familiarity with our community, local businesses and workforce. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida and is a Seabreeze High School graduate. McMullin loves connecting people and businesses to the resources they need.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I’m so happy to be back home after commuting for 1-1/2 years, — a staycation sounds perfect!

Don’t be afraid to show your vulnerability and stay true to your values

A yoga/relaxing spa retreat

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Woolworth – downtown and Bellair Plaza. My husband and I met as teens while working there.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Brene Brown because she’s simply amazing! Maybe the Ocean Deck for a relaxed vibe.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Its beauty

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I think it’s quite difficult for anyone to take a long view post Pandemic. Planning has completely shifted.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Although I’m quite outgoing, I enjoy quiet time alone recharging.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Home. Wherever that may be.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
I’m my own worst critic and push myself. This can be good and bad.

A coffee factory and fresh/wodsy perfumes
